Alkali - activated Bentonite powder has a wide application due to its swelling ability, fluid absorption (it can absorb a mass of water several times larger than its own mass).
BVP - can be used:
- In well drilling and on this occasion it is mixed with water and other additives, in this way creating a sticky mass which prevents walls from collapsing.
- In a foundry, as a solder, bentonite is mixed with foundry sand and coal dust, building thermostable molds capable of sustaining molten iron, steel, aluminum…
